Ok so you know how it is snowing in Lancaster, Palmdale and sort of Santa Clarita. Well, they closed the five freeway both ways! My mom drives the five freeway due to her working in Encino. We live in Santa Clarita, by the way. We also stay home alone, I’m in 6th grade, and she usually gets off late. So I was just wondering. Huge help is needed!

Your mom will know several routes to get home. All drivers have alternate routes that they can go to get home. She will probably be later than normal because of the weather, so maybe you should eat something if she isn’t home by the time you are hungry. Hope all goes well, it will be okay, your mom will get home, but later, because she will be driving more carefully in the weather.
EDIT: Definitely do your homework, lock the house, and go to bed on time. You can show your mom how responsible you are. Please don’t cook anything, use the microwave or something. I am not saying you are not responsible, but so many bad things could happen, you just don’t want to risk it. If you do use the stove or oven, make sure you turn it off when you are done.
If she doesn’t get home what are your options? Make sure the house is locked and a porch light is on. Make yourself something to eat. Do you have homework? Take a bath and at bed time go to bed. Take care of “we”. Don’t answer the door unless you know that person. Good Luck.

Or is there something you can’t handle without her?
maybe the police can give her an alternative route. tell her to call the police or the local tv station. don’t be scared she will be okay!
