There are shootings every day, bank robberies and on and on.
Does anyone have some crime stopping tips that I might give to the sheriffs dept. BTW..My city has heavy mexican and black population.
I Live In A Very High Crime City, (palmdale, Ca.) The Cops Are Useless And Very Ineffective.?

Its just a poorly run police department….Why are some cities safer than others? Why do you blame minorities? I also have a very high minority population in my city and we don’t have these problems, population here is over 600k….
We do have an excellent police dept. who does there job…
I guess the only people in your area that commit crimes are of a race other than white. Sounds like the criminals outnumber law enforcement officers so your pretty much SOL just move but be forwarned most small town cops are just as corrupt, underpaid, and understaffed.
Tell your local police department to keep an eye out on any suspicious activity you see in your part of the neighborhood. Either that, or move out of the city.
The police can’t do it alone. That’s why the sheriff’s dept. in your area uses community based policing.
Simply put, unless the community gets involved and stays involved, police can only be reactive to crime (like respond to the shooting, robbery etc. after the fact) instead of pro-active (preventing the crime).
They are also understaffed in your area (I am familiar with Palmdale aka “Gangdale”) and need the citizens to be their eyes and ears. It’s very difficult to stop crime when no one will come forward and say who did what.
I would suggest that you also attend the community meetings that the LASD hosts in your area. It will never get better unless and until the community – people like you – get involved.
Community policing…..
Most people expect the police to do it all; they cant.
If you dont like the police force in your area, vote and change elected officials. Police probably doesn’t like them either.

The only way that crime can come under control is with a STRONG Mayor and Govenor.. Mayor if it is just the City that is ravaged!
THe cop’s need to start enforcing even the most basic of laws even as they are doing the major ones…. It keeps them on the toes (Crooks) and they eventually move on!

Arm everyone. Would you try to rob someone when everyone around you was carrying a side arm and was trained to use it? ( that’s everyone over 21, not convicted of a violent crime, or judged to be mentally unfit). “God made man and Sam Colt made them equal.”
Start voting for officials who believe the amount of police in your area needs to be increased and support them even if your taxes are going to rise because of the increase in manpower.
Or if your attitude is that you have plenty of officers, but, they are “useless”…..well then get off the soap box and join the force…. then you can work your way up the ladder to a position to where you can change things yourself.
We moved up here to Lancaster about 6 years ago. We live half a block from Section 8 apartment complex. From what I hear, my impression is that Lancaster was a nicer place about 25 to 30 years ago before the politicians created artificial incentives to move gang members and others form South Central up here. There is also a prison here and a lot of racist blacks seem concentrated in some parts of the town. Violent crime tends to be higher in “black” aneighborhoods. I don’t blame the police; they do what they can. I just don’t know whose side they will be on if all heck breaks loose one of these days.
I ran across this page looking for something else. It is one of the few places where I see Antelope Valley talked about. One thing I notice is that when you walk into the public library it seems like it is almost taken over by blacks just sitting and not reading anything. they just stare at others who come in. And there are are a couple of guards there. Must have been some trouble there. Very different from the libraries I have known growing up.
On one occasion a black guy followed me out of the library. Didn’t know if he was looking to rob me or what. Seemed to be a bit “gay” (homosexcual), so I told him I didn’t swing his way and he went away.
White people make me laugh and want to cry at the same time…you seem to have a very low opinion of (EVERY BLACK PERSON) and this is why (WE AS A PEOPLE) can hardly stand to be around you guy’s. I hate the look of you guy’s, the sound of your voice, the very sight of you guy’s makes me want to puke. I wish there was a way we could ship all of you guy’s off to Mars and never have the displeasure if seeing what a ugly mugly mut looks like ever again. EVERY WHITE PERSON IS A RACIST AND WE WILL NEVER TRUST ANY OF YOU GUY’S..In my neighborhood in Palmdale..they just arrested a white man for killing 4 women..he was a serial killer (White people are horrible)!! when ever i see that there is a heavy white population i always worry.

Blacks commit more robberies, burglaries and drug violations. Hispanics and asians commit the highest rate of fraud and counterfeit crimes. If you don’t like where you live or who’s in your neighborhood, leave move on. For those who blame the police for the crime problems in their community, wake up! It’s the communities fault. Without the community comming forward as witnesses to crimes, the detectives can’t file the cases. And for those who say look out for suspicious behavior, your a joke. When law enforcement officers do that you accuse them of racially profiling people. Either help the police or keep your opinions to youselves and live with the community you’ve created for youselves.
