go to a construction site with a hard hat and steel toed boots and tell them you want a job. they are always looking for ppl to hire, and when you just show up ready to work, they like that. you may start off at about $10/hour as a general laborer, but you can quickly work up, and learn a trade. my husband is a roofer, he started at around your age, maybe 17 or 18. he’s been roofing for about 12 years now. he just made $10,000 this month (b/c he owns his own company). his brother has been roofing for less than two years and he makes over $1000/week
I don’t know what Palmdale is like, but I think you should just look around at the stores and restaurants to see if anyone is hiring. If you have already done that, then your best bet is to try babysitting, mowing lawns, raking leaves, shoveling snow, etc.
Not to be a smart @ss but there are 45 year olds with PHD’s that can’t get jobs!!! Best bet would be to mow lawns or something.
Good luck!
